You don’t have to work everything out alone.

Life can sometimes leave us feeling overwhelmed, anxious, low, stuck or disconnected from ourselves. You may understand that something is wrong without knowing why it keeps happening—or what needs to change.
At Open Hands Counselling Centre, therapy offers space to slow things down, understand what may be happening beneath the surface and begin moving forward with greater awareness, compassion and choice.

How I can help

Therapy that is psychologically grounded and deeply human.

Life can sometimes leave us feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stuck or disconnected from ourselves and others. At other times, we simply recognise that something needs to change, even when we cannot yet put that change into words.
I offer a warm, confidential and professionally grounded space where you can explore what is happening, understand yourself more deeply and begin to find a way forward.

How we can work together

01

Counselling & Psychotherapy

Individual and couples therapy, online and in person, shaped around you rather than a one-size-fits-all formula.

02

Clinical Supervision

Reflective, supportive and appropriately challenging supervision for counsellors and practitioners across a range of modalities.

03

Training & Workshops

Accessible psychoeducation and practical tools for individuals, groups and organisations.

Understand patterns

Explore how past experiences, relationships, beliefs and coping strategies may be influencing the present.

Build practical tools

Develop ways to regulate your nervous system, work with difficult thoughts and emotions, strengthen boundaries and respond differently.

Move with compassion

Replace harsh self-criticism with greater awareness, patience and a more supportive relationship with yourself.

Therapy that looks beneath the surface

Understanding the patterns beneath the surface.

My work draws on established psychological approaches to understand not only what you are experiencing today, but the experiences, relationships, beliefs and patterns that may have shaped how you see yourself and the world.

Your culture, values and beliefs matter.

I work with people from diverse cultural, spiritual and religious backgrounds, as well as those who do not identify with a faith. Therapy is centred around you.
If faith or spirituality is important to you, there is space for it to be explored sensitively. If it is not, it does not need to form part of the work at all.

A therapeutic space where you can be yourself

I welcome people from different cultures, backgrounds, identities, faiths and no faith. Where spirituality or faith is meaningful to you, it can be included in therapy if you choose. It is never assumed or imposed.
I also adapt the therapeutic space for neurodivergent clients, including autistic people and people with ADHD.
